  Coronavirus spreads very rapidly but kills relatively few who do not already have underlying conditions. However, the rapid spread means that the coronavirus is massively destabilizing. As people stay home, infection rates will fall, and then the crisis will pass, except for those who do not make it. Herd immunity will hit shortly afterwards. We are in the same pattern as the swine flu, but with something more infectious like SARS but fortunately short of being as deadly as MERS. The correct response is actually to shut everything down, but instead of sending people to grocery stores to mingle, we should probably be delivering food, water, and toilet paper to people sheltering-in-place with the auto-quarantine.

This is the perfect tinder for a far-Right political revolt.
