• Robo-journalism gains traction in shifting media landscape

  We should look at automation not as a job-killer, but as a way of eliminating jobs that are too tedious for anyone to do. These people can then be recruited to do other jobs which our society has been blowing off for the last century or so but that need doing, including a massive cleanup of the many wasted areas of our city and countryside. Most manufacturing jobs are boring, require regular attendance in irregular lives, and involve little in the way of social benefit. People were better off when attached to a manorial estate, working as gardeners or servants all day, or working on isolated farms. They had more free time and less distraction, and so their lives were experienced as being longer and more fulfilling. Automation could return us to that state.

  Trump saw a field that the Republicans had happily bungled: the Left controlled government through the courts, which decided whatever the Left wanted was Constitutional, and whatever the Right wanted was not. He plays a dangerous game in which he creates drama with the right hand while acting to systematically dismantle the argumentative infrastructure of his opposition with the left, then in the end comes out ahead because instead of attacking the left directly, he focused on the context that allowed them to make those attacks. The nutty Leftists at The Guardian may be functionally insane but they realize a winning political play when they see one. With these judges in place, Leftist “legislating from the bench” will not be a sure thing, and without that, fewer judges will risk the conflict involved in it. This means that the steady making permissive of everything — free speech, sexuality, civil rights — will reach a stopping point, and we may see affirmative action and private enforcement of civil rights fall, at which point America can successfully balkanize without self-destructing into civil war.

  Welcome to the wonderful world of regulations in an empire. In order to make sure that continental Europe gets some of those fish found in English waters, the regulators — bureaucrats are geniuses — imposed limits on English fishing. This means that anything over the limit, especially if it can be discarded so that something more profitable can be acquired, gets thrown away. The only way to limit fishing is to limit the number of fishermen, which is something that aristocrats achieved naturally through their system of granting monopolies to local areas. The EU will never settle for that inegalitarian solution, but it would prevent the massive waste in a time when overfishing is depleting fish stocks worldwide and laying the groundwork for a future crisis.

• New York City could go BANKRUPT for the first time in more than 40 years if a recession hits

  New York is not alone. Chicago, Detroit, Houston, and other major cities are also bankrupt, just as many smaller cities around these larger places are out of money. They all spent too much mostly on pensions but also on programs that fulfilled ideological objectives. Federal regulations and court decisions made many existing programs, such as public schools, too expensive (not that public schooling was ever a good idea). In order to keep the system going, the cities and states have been borrowing, which puts them in a perilous position if tax revenues fall or the values of properties, upon which tax revenues are based, collapse. Trump realizes that a big economic correction is coming soon because China has been in trouble for the last decade, and when it comes, every entity that is dependent on the Leftist tax-and-spend model will fall. Whoever manages to ditch diversity and the entitlements state first will be the last man standing, just like the US was after WW2.

• CEOs tell Trump they are hiring more Americans without college degrees

  People kept saying the college bubble would burst, and it finally did. CEOs no longer care about college degrees; this means that someone who achieves a skill after high school will rise in a company just the same as someone who spent four to eight years in further education. Even more, the guy who did not waste time at college comes out four years ahead of the others, so he is more likely in an advanced role while everyone else is stumbling in at the entry level. Democracy, being a dumb lummox, saw that people with college degrees were earning more money, and assumed that wealth was a zero-sum equation, therefore it could just hand out more college degrees and make everybody wealthy. So smart! They forget that college degrees were part of an informal filter that subjected candidates to mental and moral testing so that those who made it through were the good ones. Instead, now a college degree means absolutely nothing and so people are bypassing college in favor of practical means of proving their skills, which would allow a meritocracy if we could get rid of biased hiring programs like affirmative action and other civil rights initiatives.

• Ritual animal slaughter law leaves Belgium’s Muslims and Jews facing shortages, price hikes

  Jewish Leftists intuited that if they made multiculturalism policy, they would be safe from persecution as outsiders, allowing them to live within a more successful society than they had made for themselves or found. However, this was a short-term view, as most human thinking tends to be, because allying with multiculturalism means that when any part of it fails, Jews get treated just like the other groups and told to go home. Belgium and other Western European nations are turning on the idea of halal/kosher slaughter, and instead demanding that Western European standards prevail. In other words, people have lost faith not with one diversity element, as American cuckservatives try to do when they endlessly criticize Muslims, but with diversity itself. That means that if you are in Belgium, and not ethnically Belgian, you must leave. They are doing this politely and gently at first by banning certain things that Muslims and Jews have in common, but eventually, outsiders will find that the native way will crowd them out at every turn. This policy is also short-sighted, since most of these foreign elements will simply convert and mix into the existing population, replacing it with a new and less focused version. The best policy is for all of us in democracyland to finally put on our big boy pants and simply say that diversity has failed, and then make provisions for peaceful relocation of non-indigenous elements. That, however, requires us admitting that not only has democracy made a terrible and stupid decision, but that egalitarianism has some limits, and that offends our pretense of being “equal,” so for now it is taboo. This means that like all of the groups under diversity, all of the egalitarian programs will go down together.

  Carlson handles this expertly, adhering to the Trump-era notion that one never cucks or backs down in the face of passive-aggressive bullies:

  “Media Matters caught me saying something naughty on a radio show more than a decade ago. Rather than express the usual ritual contrition, how about this: I’m on television every weeknight live for an hour. If you want to know what I think, you can watch.”

  The Left has infected education so thoroughly that seemingly nothing can be done. It has become bigoted against Western Civilization in its mania to be “diverse,” which is another way of saying that it must make everyone equal by destroying anyone who rose above the herd. This means that students do not know the basics of a classical education, and that only those who master the new Leftist babble get promoted. The solution here will be to drop public education and cut all government loans and grants, at which point the bloat that sustained all these Leftists will go away. Increasingly, it becomes clear that wherever humanity has excess, parasites gather and then justify themselves with “humanistic” well-intentioned policies that end in ruin. Perhaps future societies will simply gather up the excess wealth and sacrifice it to some ancient god so that the rest of us can live well, or ideally, invest it in some infinite expense like space exploration.

  Trump has given cuckservatives and Leftists an easy way out: the new budget includes a reasonable amount for the border wall to stop the incessant invasion of impoverished third world people who are tanking our economy. He applies the strategy he outlines in his book which emphasizes making reasonable offers, forcing a point of crisis, and then giving the other side a path to see your reasonable offer as their success.

• China Narrows GDP Gap With U.S.

  The Chinese recognized long ago that whoever got to be superpower would be emulated by the rest of the world. Like all nations, they recognize that they will be most secure if they dominate the world, and they tend to be more paranoid than most. Consequently, they created a plan to acquire as much of the world markets as they could, and to position themselves with colonial territories to take over the rest as needed. The West, stumbling drunk through the late stages of democracy, obliged them by adopting all sorts of little rules and union protections that guaranteed that most new products would not be made there. Consequently, China is now rising, although signs of instability are on the wall; the worst-case scenario is that China both becomes powerful and reveals how much of its economy is a paper tiger, resulting in a domino effect of cascading recessions across the world.

  If this is not a humanitarian crisis, it sure looks like one. Trump recognizes the truth of the markets: everyone in the world wants to come live in the first world if they can. Unlimited demand plus finite supply creates a tragedy of the commons where the demand depletes the supply and leaves everyone with nothing. Unless the first world slams the door, it will be obliterated and all of humanity will become equally impoverished. The Left has done nothing but encourage more to come, thinking that these people will vote Leftist forever, forgetting that these people will vote for Leftists from their own tribes and will abandon the crazy “white” Leftists currently in power.

  Man decides to live on the street, and finds that people are very generous to beggars. In an egalitarian time, victims are sacred, and so people use them as a means of signaling their own higher social status than those who cannot afford to do so. In the end, however, this creates a massive subsidy for beggars, producing more of them. If people stopped giving, the homeless would have to turn to charity or find a way of generating income or sustenance of their own.

  A German teenager is murdered by what turns out to be a “white church-going German-born teenager,” which interestingly enough is not a synonym for “ethnic German.” However, in the process of excoriating the far-Right for guessing wrong, the media admits that two previous killings of this nature were committed by immigrant-origin people.

• Get Ready for the Struggle Session

  We have entered a time in which the Left seeks to humiliate and destroy those who disagree with it. This suggests that the Left has become unstable, and that its goal is to punish enough people to scare the rest into conformity. In America, we do this through social media and broadcast media show trials. All of this shows that we have entered a time of transition where the Left is attempting to cling to power despite increasing and widespread lack of faith in liberal democracy, diversity, and egalitarianism. Another few big pushes and it will fall just like the Soviet Union, to be replaced (if we are intelligent) with what worked better before we went down this path of mass rule.

  Women are more obedient to the system, and therefore they go off to work every day and invest their money in what they most immediately need, which is housing. They do not have as many investments as men, but own more homes in part because the system likes to hire and promote them because they are reliable and tractable. This shows us the crisis of modern woman: she will work in order to have what she needs, and then turn toward family, at which point she will be facing an uphill climb to find a stable, un-alienated man and raise normal children. Instead, there will be the scenario familiar to Generation X, where both mother and father work and a series of daycares, schools, and jobs await to keep the children distracted from the vast oily existential void forming underneath the West.

• California police report almost no racial profiling

  You can never win: when racial profiling complaints drop to ten in a year, people in California start claiming that the police are merely covering up all of those incidents that must have occurred. What happens when the victimhood card becomes overdrawn? Then we start to confront the actual issue, perhaps, but more likely, each side invents its own narrative and no common ground can be found. Early balkanization has its fading charms.

• New bill would mean big fines for anyone that messes with Georgia monuments

  It is feeling very 1840s out there. The states are pushing back, with some trying to limit the influence of the electoral college and others punishing those who vandalize monuments. The two sides have revealed themselves — heritage Americans versus nu-Amerikans — and they are going to fight it out block by block, city by city, and state by state until polarization occurs. After that, they will find some pivotal issue on which to disagree, trigger a reaction to this touchstone, and finally meet in the field. As usual, democracy grinds everything down to dust by dividing unity and then, by virtue of the need of all to escape the widening vortex, increasing enmity until the snarling animal at the center of humanity emerges.
