• Protesters try breaking into federal courthouse; federal officers respond with munitions
  

  At around 10:40 p.m., demonstrators began kicking the front doors of the central precinct, police said. Shortly after that, other people started kicking and pounding on the plywood attached to the glass doors on the west side of the federal courthouse. Police said they were using hammers, crowbars, and other tools to try and pry the plywood open.

  Shortly after 11 p.m., the group managed to breech the west side doors. This prompted federal officers to use crowd control munitions against the crowd to disperse them.

  “Peaceful protesters” change clothes and bring out hidden weapons before they get violent. Trump is showing resistance and that is driving them mad because they know if they do not destroy something soon, they will lose momentum and their audience will go back to beer and video games.

• HUD revokes Obama-era rule designed to diversify the suburbs
  

  The 2015 rule established a 92-question survey and grading tool requiring local jurisdictions to assess their own racial and economic disparities and present detailed plans on how to address them. Carson said the jurisdictions were “forced to comply with complicated regulations that require hundreds of pages of reporting.”

• More Seattle-area residents selling their homes, leaving the area
  

  The report, by Seattle-based online residential real estate company Redfin, found that the number of home sellers looking to leave the Seattle metro area has jumped to 13.7%, compared with 11.2% at the same time last year.

  Meanwhile, the net outflow of homeowners from Seattle has soared from 363 in the second quarter of last year to 6,007 in the second quarter of this year – a jump of more than 1,500%.

  Now that their jobs let them move, people are fleeing the high-cost low-performance Leftist areas and going to saner places. This will backfire by changing formerly Republican areas into mixed and indecisive ones, but many of these people will eventually change viewpoint or go back to the cities once they realize that no one cares about equality in the real world.

• House votes to remove Confederate statues from Capitol
  

  The House has approved a bill to remove statues of Gen. Robert E. Lee and other Confederate leaders from the U.S. Capitol, as a reckoning over racial injustice continues following the police killing of George Floyd, a Black man, in Minneapolis.

  Communists loved erasing history too. It is part of how a civilization dies. Leftists see the world in two dimensions, where everything is in a political category, and if someone fits into a bad category, everything else they did must be thrown out as well. It must be unimaginably mentally cramped and crippled to think in such a narrow and limited way.

• Sierra Club Says It Must Confront the Racism of John Muir
  

  Muir “made derogatory comments about Black people and Indigenous peoples that drew on deeply harmful racist stereotypes, though his views evolved later in his life,” Mr. Brune wrote in a post on the club’s website. “As the most iconic figure in Sierra Club history, Muir’s words and actions carry an especially heavy weight. They continue to hurt and alienate Indigenous people and people of color who come into contact with the Sierra Club.”

  Right now, it is taboo to admit that different groups are genetically different and have different abilities and inclinations as a result.

  That is how far into the Leftist k-hole we have sunk, to the point that reality denial is not just accepted by mandatory.

  Muir noted facts about the world around him, including the behavior of different groups. The Sierra Club is desperate to hang on to those bourgeois middle class dollars, and so it must be uncontroversial. Watch them begin erasing Muir from their official communications shortly and talking about their “rededicated mission” of 2020.

  The July 20 letter noted that the similarities include “people being forcibly loaded on to trains; beards of religious men being trimmed; women being sterilized; and the grim specter of concentration camps.”

  “China risks squandering its achievements and sabotaging its own legacy if it fails to learn the lessons of history,” van der Zyl added. “The World will neither forgive nor forget a genocide against the Uyghur people.”

  Jews in Europe have not learned the lessons of history, including that being a foreign group in a foreign land means genocide will occur, and that attacking the Right and favoring the Left ensures that when that genocide comes, many will support it. These people are not thinking clearly at all.

  Only about 1 in 10 Americans think daycare centers, preschools or K-12 schools should open this fall without restrictions, according to a new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs. Most think mask requirements and other safety measures are necessary to restart in-person instruction, and roughly 3 in 10 say that teaching kids in classrooms shouldn’t happen at all.

  Just end the public schools, at this point. They cost a ton of money, provide terrible education, hire Leftists, generate reams of propaganda, and slam kids into something more like jail than learning about life. Like all bureaucracy projects, our public schools are a horror.

• China-US row: Fugitive researcher ‘hiding in San Francisco consulate’
  

  Court filings by prosecutors in a federal court in San Francisco say the defendant, named as Juan Tang, was a biology researcher at the University of California, Davis.

  According to the filings, during an interview with FBI agents last month she said she had not served in the Chinese military.

  However, the document says, an open-source investigation uncovered photos of her wearing military uniform and a search of her home found further evidence of her affiliation with China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

  Clinton and Obama invited China into America. Bush was more concerned with Jesus and diversity than conservatism.   An unprecedented global survey has revealed a shocking decline in the number of reef sharks, with the predators “functionally extinct” on nearly 20 percent of sites studied.

  The four-year study used more than 15,000 baited and remotely operated cameras — so-called “chum cams” — to obtain the first comprehensive picture of where reef sharks are thriving and where they are virtually non-existent.

  When you fish by trawling the ocean with huge nets and throwing back everything you cannot sell, while using species like sharks to make fish patties, you will end up committing ecocide. Nature needs more space than humanity is willing to give it.

• German court convicts 93-year old man for Nazi crimes
  

  Rolled into the courtroom in a wheelchair and hiding his face behind a blue folder, Bruno D. acknowledged he had been an SS guard in the Stutthof concentration camp near Gdansk in what was then occupied Poland, but he said his presence did not amount to guilt.

  This did not convince the court in Hamburg which found him guilty on Thursday of being involved in the killings from August 1944 to April 1945.

• Mob burns Covid-19 facility and community hall in Cape Town
  

  The City of Cape Town’s newly built facility meant for Covid-19 patients in Makhaza, Khayelitsha was torched allegedly by people protesting over land on Saturday.

  In another incident, protesters also torched and looted the Desmond Tutu Community Hall while protesting on Saturday morning. It is still unclear whether it was the same group who burnt the health facility, but sources we spoke to believe the group are among those occupying land near the Noxolo Xauka Primary school in Makhaza where Law Enforcement officials were demolishing structures earlier in the week.

  Societies without a strong unifying culture turn into anarchy; diversity destroys that culture.

• River Thames ‘severely polluted with plastic’
  

  Researchers at Royal Holloway, University of London, are calling for stricter regulations on the labelling and disposal of plastic products.

  They warn that careless disposal of plastic gloves and masks during the coronavirus pandemic might make the problem of plastic pollution worse.

  People are normally thoughtless. When social hierarchy and cultural standards exist, they clean up their act. Instead, we took away their culture, identity, heritage, and sense of purpose, and replaced it with jobs where they are treated like prisoners to be managed, effectively enraging people to the point where they vandalize their homelands.

  A Black mother, not wearing a face mask unlike the mayor and many in the crowd, stood within arms length to demand that he use Portland police to protect demonstrators rather than control them.

  “We need you to turn your team around,” she said. “We need your team to join our team. I need you to get your whole team to stand here and do this with us.”

• Genes related to inflammation and stress may help tailor treatments for depression
  

  The researchers observed notably stronger molecular signs of inflammation and stress in both the patients who were not responding to antidepressant treatment and patients who were medication-free, compared with patients with depression who were responsive to medication and healthy controls. These findings support the growing evidence that patients that do not respond to antidepressants or have untreated depression have heightened inflammation compared with controls.

  One wonders if our societal depression was brought on by bad food, pollution, and job-related stress. Life was better under the aristocrats.

  “We are 30 families in these nylon tents and there is no electricity and it is very, very hot,” says Murat Shahi, a burly father of four, explaining how the new arrivals are forced to spend “every hour of every day” looking for respite from the sun. “They say ‘leave Moria’, they stop our cash card, but I have no work, I don’t speak Greek. How can I find a home?”

  The former teacher lies awake at night wondering how he will feed and house his children. “In Afghanistan I’m a dead man. I made this journey for a better life. Moria was very bad but then they moved me to a place where I receive no breakfast, no lunch. Why? I’m human with feelings.”

  Go back to your countries and fix them instead of shifting your problems onto someone else.

• Try ‘glory holes’ for safer sex during coronavirus, B.C. CDC says
  

  The B.C. Centre for Disease Control added new recommendations for socially distant sex to its COVID-19 website this week. One of those tips was to try using a “glory hole” — a hole cut into a wall that’s only large enough for a penis to slip through.

  Glory holes are typically used for anonymous oral or penetrative sex, according to Urban Dictionary, but they’re also an excellent way to limit physical contact during intercourse, the B.C. CDC says.

  “Use barriers, like walls (e.g., glory holes), that allow for sexual contact but prevent close face-to-face contact,” the health organization writes on its website.

  Human deduction breaks down when you introduce symbolic thinking. If we are all equal, and therefore we “have needs” instead of “make choices,” then you have to find some way to fulfill those needs so you can check off a box on your health and welfare form. Bureaucrats, being eggheads and blockheads, ignore the holistic picture in order to focus on the task itself, which means checking off that box and getting a paycheck, even if it leads to insanity.

  The newly released rules call for more manual labor activities in curriculums across academia to inculcate students with a “hard-working spirit.” Schools from the elementary to the university level must provide mandatory labor classes, including vague activities that “work up a sweat” and household chores like doing laundry. While the policy is short on specific activities, it hints that students will do work at companies, farms, and factories.

  They style this as a health initiative, but more likely, China is suffering the same fate that consumed the Soviets: under Communism, it cannot make its agricultural system work, since no one does backbreaking work to get the same reward as the guy who just showed up and chanted Communist slogans. This could explain why China is in panic and wants war. It needs to capture new food sources, both in the sea and on the land, since if it has vassals in Vietnam and Japan, it can pay them to produce food without admitting that its system does not work.

• Coronavirus: Billions of people need basic income, says UN body
  

  Nearly 3 billion of the world’s poorest should receive a temporary basic income that could help slow the spread of the coronavirus by allowing them to stay home, said the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in a report on Thursday.

  The basic income would help 2.7 billion people in 132 countries, the UNDP recommended.

  Funding of $199 billion per month would be needed to provide the “means to buy food and pay for health and education expenses,” the report stated.

  We are seeing the second wave of the coronavirus in its demographic implications. European-descended people have taken precautions and are generally hardier.   A group of men was convicted of rape Thursday at the end of a year-long trial over a gang assault on an 18-year-old woman in 2018. The case, in which most of the 11 defendants were Syrian, added to tensions in Germany over migration.

  No wonder they keep trotting out antiquated Nazi bathroom attendants to crucify. If not, their crime news would be diversity news almost exclusively.

• UK and US say Russia fired a satellite weapon in space
  

  The US State Department described the recent use of “what would appear to be actual in-orbit anti-satellite weaponry” as concerning.

  When the Russia-China-Iran axis attacks, it will need to destroy our communications and surveillance systems first. Then they will blitz our infrastructure through its remote maintenance systems, crashing our economy and paralyzing industry. At that point, they will try to close the seas and choke off Europe, eventually making America the odd man out.

  The United States joined Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia on Thursday in opposing any Russian attempts to rewrite history after President Vladimir Putin said the Baltic states had consented to their 1940 annexation by the Soviet Union.

  Toxoplasma gondii is famous for manipulating the brains of infected mice so they run towards cats, instead of away from them – raising questions about what it could be doing to human brains.

  New research from a team of Edith Cowan University scientists found 66 per cent of the 150 people they studied had antibodies to the parasite.

  Single-use plastic has surged in production in recent decades, filling up oceans and land with waste and overwhelming the capability of waste management systems across the world to dispose of and recycle the plastics.

  We add more people and then sell them all disposable plastic products with zero obligation to dispose of them properly. Consequently, our planet is now saturated in plastic waste, and as it works its way through the food chain, we will see the true breadth of its effects on health and nature.
