When one talks about suicides in the American military, the standard talking point from the Leftist Narrative is this:

The actual suicide rate in the US military seems to be around and about that for the US as a whole. Soldiers and ex-soldiers don’t kill themselves in any greater numbers than the average American does.

And yet, we see some actual figures:

Since 2001, suicides among veterans increased 32 percent, compared to 23 percent for adult civilians, according to a Veterans Affairs report in August. According to the report, an estimated 20 veterans commit suicide a day.

Never underestimate the power of cuck: the desire to believe that everything will work out fine if we just keep on keeping on, which is what most people want to do because it allows them to individualistic pursue their own interests without concerning themselves with the health of civilization as a whole.
