The Deep State, a cabal of Leftists invested in the continued reckless expenditure of government on entitlements overseen by the administrative branch of government, finally got the trial they wanted, and the conviction they wanted. Joe Biden made sure to be seen as the force guiding this process.

In their view, this makes them look strong and good for standing against a perceived threat. However, the threat was symbolic and not real. As others have noted, Trump is a moderate conservative who is mostly libertarian and practial in his approach:

If Trump wins, he will almost certainly govern as he did during his first term – as a moderate conservative. Whatever you think of his tweets, his policies were a study in normalcy. He lashed out at his tormentors, but he did not undermine our institutions or the rule of law. He challenged norms with his blustery words, not his presidential actions. When judges slapped down his policies, he revised them to pass judicial muster. He made no effort to “lock up” Hillary Clinton. Recall, his presidency was such a success that he was heavily favored to win reelection before COVID-19 radically changed the contours of the 2020 race.

You will recall that you read this sort of analysis here first at a time when most people were talking about Trump as the coming American dictator. He in fact did very little that was not commonsense and in line with the design of the Constitution and those who created it.

However, Dunning-Kruger cases like the modern Leftists know only one level of thinking. To them, someone is good or bad, and if he is bad, the State must remove him. Therefore they celebrate this trial and its results, even though they know that it will be overturned on appeal after the election.

Trump faced a judge who did everything he could to ensure a conviction, a media that cheered it on, and a hostile jury in a part of the country that turned on Trump for failing to endorse the Leftist brew of entitlements, diversity, big government, and wars for democracy.

Life has moved on from that point and this seems unknown to the Leftists. Immigration has become the decisive election issue in the UK, US, and EU. The world is wising up to the threat of the BRICS which is racial more than ideological. Palestine protests have shown us just how much diversity and socialism have broken a once-prosperous nation.

Everyone is broke and looking for relief from “more of the same,” but the professional Left offers only that: more of the Biden, Clinton, and 0bama policies that raise prices, delighting the wealthy whose stocks go up, but impoverish the middle classes and below with a cost of living that is more Switzerland than Soviet Union but just as dire.

My guess is that another shoe is going to drop: the collaborators of the Regime are going to take Trump off the ballot.

Both of these events will backfire in ways that the Establishment cannot recognize. For one thing, they just announced the lack of legitimacy of our democracy and our government, basically shouting “weapons free!” to every dissident and antagonist of how things are done.

For another, they have made it clear that the nation is ruled by an external force in Washingto DC that acts only for its own self-enrichment and power interests. It does not care if the country starves and China takes over; this bureaucracy of neurotics aims to be in power in every case.

Of course, they will probably find themselves facing the fate that the original leadership in any revolution faces, which is that they get replaced by those who are more radical and most likely executed. Weep not for the dead Leftists of tomorrow because they did it to themselves.

More likely, they have shown us why Trump did that oddball appearance with the Bible. He said to us, “they are going to crucify me or make me drink hemlock, and then you will see that I was right all along.”

He probably said the same thing to the remaining groups of “patriots” — at this point, this means people who do not want the destruction of the West and its sale to China — who are ready to use those sealed indictments and special powers granted to them during the Trump years.

We are awaiting that second trigger event.

As far as the actual case goes, the judge designed it to be overturned on appeal on procedural grounds. There are enough irregularities that would get any case overturned that it is clear this verdict was not designed to survive the appeals court, after the election.

In the meantime, the behavior of the anti-Trump forces has guaranteed that Americans will elect him from jail if need be, and if a second civil war breaks out, it will not be seen as unprovoked. Democrats wanted another Fort Sumter and it is now ready, awaiting only a touchstone event.
