The mainstream Right is now catching up with what conservatives in the 1960s knew: we are fighting a counter-revolution against the revolution that was the 1960s, following our alliance with Communists in WW2, our pivot to government-enforced egalitarianism during the Civil War, and the French Revolution.
This begins by recognizing that much like 1968, our society and government were effectively overthrown during the Obama years and devastated during the POTATUS O’Biden years, through a bloodless revolution based in civil rights:
The revolution that we’ve experienced was cultural, economic, political, and social. It was very similar to the French Revolution under Robespierre. Remember what they tried to do, they changed the days of the week, they renamed things, they tore down statues, they went after the church. Does this sound familiar?
So we’re in the midst of a counter-revolution. It’s not revolutionary. Do you know what it is? It’s a return to normality.
It’s a return to common sense. It only looks revolutionary to revolutionaries. But to the rest of the people, it is a counterrevolution to restore normality and bring the country from the far-left fringes back home again.
As pointed out around here before, original conservatives want to restore health (“normalcy”) through a reliance on realism and transcendental pursuit of excellence, instead of pity-based egalitarianism.
Our populations have become divided between brokenists who want the status quo and reformers who want to dig us out of the neocommunist dystopia:
There were two types of Germans we met in Berlin while trying to gauge the public sentiment in the last days leading up to the election: Those who believe only the AfD can save Germany from its endemic problems, created by past governments; and those who think the only thing the country needs saving from is the AfD. There seemed to be no in-between, and most disturbingly, no willingness to listen to the other side, which was especially apparent on the Left.
“The only thing that matters now is that the far-right is stopped. Nothing else comes close,” one person told us while we were standing next to Berlin’s famous Holocaust memorial, where a radicalized asylum seeker nearly fatally stabbed a Spanish tourist the night before after weeks of plotting to “murder Jews,” according to police.
Yet, when we tried to ask this person what he thought about the increase in violent crime—a perfectly reasonable question given that the police cordons around the memorial were a visible reminder of the night’s attack—he quickly cut the interview short. “Are you a far-right media?” No, just conservative. “But not too conservative, right?”
It seems that the civil rights agenda which adopted diversity has now created a backlash whose goal is to remove diversity in order to remove the neocommunist occupation:
Mr. Breivik’s goal is to reverse what he views as the Islamization of Western Europe; indeed, he sees himself as a soldier in a defensive war against “Islamic imperialism.” In his view, Muslims are colonizing Europe, helped by high birth rates and a doctrine of multiculturalism advocated by the European elite. Islam, for him, represents an existential threat to European civilization, a threat that must be countered at all costs. The best way to do so, he argues, is to wage war against “cultural Marxists” — his label for the European political and intellectual elite — because they are the traitors who allow the colonization to take place.
If we view the Revolution as a transition from the idea of an order to nature, tradition, culture, genetics, and the divine which exists in parallel to an order based on the individual, we can see how it occurred in stages.
First was the rise of the lesser lords, then the middle classes, and finally the proles, who demanded egalitarianism in layers: political, social, sexual, and finally, economic (socialism). Civil rights gave them the magic wand that no one dare oppose lest they be seen as Hitleresque, and they used it to seize power.
Now the world is waking up to find that the diversity experiment has failed and destroyed our functionality as well as our prosperity. This means that we want diversity ended and cleaned up like any other failed government program, including remigration.
